This is what manager Alan Pardew said today: “We have been waiting to see his representatives, they are due here in the early part of next week.” “We are going to make Jose a very, very good offer and we are hoping he is going to accept it.” “We are realistic about Jose, because the ball is in his court on that one, not in ours.” “He will be offered a fantastic contract here, he knows that, but still it is going to be down to his decision. I am still hopeful.” It really is up to Jose now, but he knows the Newcastle club and the Newcastle fans deserve a fairly quick decision. If he still wants to leave after this – at least the club did everything they could to keep him – and it’s doubtful Liverpool will be able to match this offer, so he woyuldn;t have left for the money. We have to think Jose like joey, is not too sure about Mike Ashley, although we have no out and out proof of that.
