"It's the English mentality, we love physical games, love the high tempo, tackles flying in, if it's like that we'll enjoy it," said Beckham. "Sometimes heat is a factor but, at the quarter final stage, we can't afford to think about things like that." "We've got to forget what's happened in the past, we can't concentrate on past results," Becks added. "What's in the past is in the past, we got to look forward to the future. The future is Saturday's game, we can't think of anything happening after that, you can get carried away. "We're quietly confident, very relaxed and looking forward to it. I'm sure they'll be thinking of that, but there is pressure on both teams to perform. "They've got the better of us in the quarters before and it's up to us, third time lucky and hopefully it's true. "Hopefully, we do get one step further, we've got to concentrate on this quarter final, if we play well we should go through. "It's important the lads enjoy these occasions as they don't come around very often these chances. "We are talking about a quarter final against Portugal with a confident, relaxed squad of players, playing in Europe, these chances of quarter finals don't come up very often. "It could be the last chance for some but we're not thinking about that at the moment." "Obviously this is his last tournament involved as manager of this country, he's always wanted to do well in competitions whether the last one or first one, he always wants to win, like us.
