【le ROI le plus RIDICULE】Talaash导演接受的短篇采访亮点自寻哦亲~ Reema Kagti is super excited about her upcoming film 'Talaash' and claims to be fortunate to direct Aamir Khan. In an exclusive conversation with TOI, Reema clears the air about her rift with Aamir. "There is absolutely no rift with Aamir. I have respect for the actor. To be honest, there is no problem. In fact, there might be something that didn't work for them in the script and that's ok with me," said the director. Aamir being Mr. Perfectionist of Bollywood were there any kind of creative differences? "I never had those issues with Aamir and in fact, had greatest time working with him. He has helped me during the film and is very supportive and co operative. Today I think I have made the film that I had set out to make," answered Reema. Reema denies the reports doing round that Aamir was not the first choice to play Surjan Singh Shekhawat in 'Talaash'. "There were lot of reports in media about actors, who were going to do the film, but the fact is that no one was supposed to play Aamir's part," asserted Reema. "When Zoya and me had initially written the film, we had Aamir in mind. However, he was busy with 'Ghajini' and later he also told me that he will be doing a short film which was 'Dhobi Ghat'. Since, Aamir was busy we approached few people, but nothing worked as such. I’ m really happy for her (referring to her marriage to Saif Ali Khan). On preparation for the Talaash character: My role didn’t require too much research as in the case of Sarfarosh where I played a cop too. The inputs for this role were different. No role is easy to play. I try to get into the mindset of the character. On the delay in the release of Talaash: The film was completed last year in November but we wanted to make a good film. Reema Katgi, my director, took some time in editing. The final product looks good and we have no regrets about the delay. On playing a cop in Talaash: I’m not competing with anyone. The cop act by Salman Khan in Dabangg and Ajay Devgn in Singham is far more commercial and colourful. Mine is dark, intense and edgy. After a long time people will get to see suspense drama in Hindi films. On Talaash being offered to Shah Rukh Khan first… I wasn’t aware that my film was first offered to SRK. I don’t keep a tab on the first choice of my films. Maybe I’ll ask this question to the filmmakers henceforth. On working with lady directors… I have worked with Deepa Mehta (1947 Earth) and my wife Kiran Rao (Dhobi Ghat) earlier. So it’s not that I’m working first time with a female director. It doesn’t matter if director is a male or female. That he/she is good as a person matters for me. I loved working with Reema. She knows what she wants exactly. She was a big help and guide to me as an actor. I discovered I could completely trust her. On promotion plans of Talaash: I’m going to disappear shortly and you people will have to search for me. On good friend Salman Khan not marrying: Salman doesn’t listen to me. Hope he gets married soon. On allegations that he banned cell phones on the sets of Dhoom 3: Who am I to ban cell phones on the sets? Everyone has one today. Don't believe reports. The schedule went off well.
