Through a collection of interviews with the author, we get personal vignettes into Brigitte's life through the eyes of her friends, colleagues and the author herself. Rich in passion, loyalty and true friendship, the Hong Kong/Taiwan cinema elite give the author glimpses into Brigitte's experiences in the entertainment industry, from her earliest days to her last film before she retreated into retirement. And last, we have Brigitte's own interviews with the author. Conducted over the course of years, these touch-points between "idol" and "fan" provide honest commentary from the actress on her work in the industry that spanned 22 years. It truly is a window into her world.Author’s comment on the book:It took almost 8 years to publish this book because it is written in English, a foreign language to me, and required endless proofreading. I also discovered that writing a book is one thing, but publishing it is other. I had to find a suitable publisher as well as clear the copyrights for photos and images used in the book. I was exhausted with the whole business process so I put the book aside for a year or so until my enthusiasm returned. I had many dreams about how my book on my idol would turn out. It would be large and hardcover, with all the photos in color and English-Chinese bilingual text. But over the years my dream shrank, mainly for financial reasons. It's now a pocket book soft cover with 25 black/white and 30 color pictures, English text only, and self-published. Although it's a miniature version of my dream, this is how I envisioned the book. Please enjoy it.
