英语作文求修改!拜托了~        Reflection essay          Neither the worldwide known buildings, such as Capitol Hill, Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument, nor the popular places on-campus, like Gelman Library and Marvin center, the place which provokes my strongest feelings is the Pelham common room, located in the basement of West Hall, Mount Vernon campus.            Firstly, the environment in Pelham is amazing and food served there is new to me, which makes me feel awkward and frustrated when I make choice. The first time I stepped into Pelham, I hardly believed it was a dinning hall, since it was super clean and the surrounding seemed to be too beautiful. It is so tidy that I have never seen any trash on the floor up till now, and chairs and tables are always in order. Sitting besides and looking through undefiled French windows, I can see blue sky with clouds flowing on, towering trees standing by the road and yellow and red flowers waving in the breeze. There are interesting photos about cuisine in the world hanging on the wall, which promote my appetite, or to be more specific, only curiosity of the taste after the time I had some Fettuccini Alfredo. As most of the food is Italian style, I can not pronounce their strange names or get accustomed to their tastes, so I always recall the food served in my high school dining hall which was tasty and cheap. Frankly speaking, the thing I miss the most is the time when my dear friends and me sitting together, chatting happily and enjoying the food.          Though I do not get used to the food, I love Pelham because staffs here are so friendly that even give me a sense of family. Maria, who sometimes gives me some “discounts”, is the first staff to chat with me. She was so interested in the reason why I always made the same order and I shyly told her that I even did not know how to pronounce the Italian words. She laughed, and lovely whispered to me that she did not know all of them, either. James was also interested in the question as Maria had and began our first chat by asking it. During the spare time, he told me about his early experience in Germany, and sometimes complained about the tire and busy the current job brought to him. I told him that I failed in my Calculus midterm and he comforted me by telling some jokes of his daughter which made me feel much better. His accent is hard to understand but I like to chat with him, because he looks like my departed grandfather and presents his true concern about me. Another nice guy is Sam, who teaches me one Spanish word every time I encounter him and so far I have learnt “Mr., Miss, Mrs. and Thank you” in Spanish.         I know common place like Pelham does not have great historical meaning which may make the reflection essay less impressive. However, Pelham invokes my recalling of the joy in high school which I currently miss much. More importantly, it helps me to get used to new life and build new friendships with people around me, which, I believe, I will value much more in the future.
