【鞋子】Jen的一双鞋参加了在她家乡举办的Right Foot exhibit 这个展览展示名人穿过的鞋，目的是告诉年轻人们，每个成功的人都是通过自己的奋斗取得的现在的成就。Jennifer Lawrence is among a number of famous and influential people whose shoes are featured in the Right Foot exhibit at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, KY. [T]he Right Foot exhibit [is] an addition to the traveling Global Shoes project of shoes worn by people from around the world meant to spotlight cultures through footwear. The Right Foot spins forward an element of Global Shoes’ purpose—by showing what familiar people wore as they walked through life, Ali Center spokeswoman Jeanie Kahnke said. “There’s a learning opportunity here to show young people that everybody doesn’t come from a lot of wealth or prominence—that a lot of people who are famous have really worked hard to reach their goals and attain a certain level of success in their lives through hard work,” Kahnke said.Jennifer, a Louisville native, has a pair of her cowboy boots on display in the exhibit (pictured above). Other shoes in the exhibit are owned by influential folks such as Oprah Winfrey, Diane Sawyer, Nelson Mandela, Pope Emeritus Benedict and of course Muhammad Ali himself. According to WFPL news, the exhibit is open through July 7th. Also, the Ali Center and WaterStep are having a “shoe drive” to help fund projects for safe drinking water around the world. People who donate a pair a shoes get $2 off the regular adult price of admission to the Ali Center.

『Delirium』THG粉丝网站主页君帮忙宣传Delirium 这位主页君也是Delirium的粉丝，TA就Delirium惨遭毒手的事来说THG已经很幸运了。。然后又顺道宣传一下Don't Stop the Deliria As a fandom, there’s a lot of complaining about The Hunger Games. We don’t like actors or hair color or certain lines in the movie. We especially don’t like the people who don’t like the things that we DO like. We’re an uppity crowd, more so than many of us would like to admit. We’ve learned that this is true of EVERY fandom, not just The Hunger Games fandom. What we sometimes don’t realize is this: We are so freaking lucky to have a successful film adaptation of the series happening right now, even if it can’t please every person under the sun. Just look at the cover!Believe it or not, the admins are Victor’s Village also have our OTHER fandom addictions. Perhaps an unhealthy number of them, but we don’t mind one bit! One of mine is Delirium by Lauren Oliver, which has gained a lot of steam over the past couple years but tends to be a love/hate kid of fandom (Lauren doesn’t deal in happy endings or neatly tied bows at the end of her books, ever!) Delirium was set to be made into a television show and then… it wasn’t. The rights were optioned and the script was written. The actors were cast and the great debate began. The hair naysayers went NUTS because Hana was a brunette instead of a blonde. The pilot was shot and the tide began to turn. Pictures found their way online. Actors openly expressed their excitement for the project. Delirium trended worldwide on Twitter TWICE. Admittedly, we felt a little invincible. … And then Fox decided to pick up an iRobot rip-off, a House-plays-lawyer drama, a show that sounds suspiciously like Southland, and a Sleepy Hollow remake (to compete against Once Upon a Time, we assume) over Delirium. Do I sound bitter? I am. I ain’t even gonna hide it. ARRRRRGHHHHHH! All of our fandom glory came to a screeching halt for a day as we realized nothing may come of the story we love. That doesn’t mean that all hopes have been dashed (Shameless plug for the Don’t Stop the Deliria campaign!), but we’ve become a little jaded and deflated. We know we’re not the only fandom who has suffered when amazing books are sold and placed neatly on the shelves, possibly to never be seen on a screen ever. Lionsgate is currently doing that with John Green’s Looking For Alaska, which is freaking criminal. Now, imagine if that was The Hunger Games. Imagine if Lionsgate bought the rights to The Hunger Games and decided NOT to make the movie. At the time, the dystopian genre hadn’t been tested onscreen and teen movies often left a bad taste in peoples’ mouths, so they did take a risk there. What if they gave the movie a much smaller budget and ended up halting production? What if the first movie didn’t impress execs and they decided not to release it? As a fandom, we may not love every single detail of The Hunger Games movies, but we should feel damn lucky that we have them. 【哥哥】Jen哥将替她去Louisville接受唐氏综合症关怀者的表彰奖大家都记得这个“第一粉”吧。他叫Strunk，是唐氏综合症患者。Jen因为他的关系受到这个表彰。没法出席颁奖，然后哥哥就替她去了。 On behalf of his famous sister, Louisvillian Blaine Lawrence will accept Down Syndrome of Louisville’s award for Jennifer Lawrence on April 26 at the organization’s Derby bash, the Mint Jubilee Gala. The organization is presenting the Academy Award-winning actress, who isn’t able to attend, with the Down Syndrome of Louisville Friendship Award to honor her relationship with Louisville’s Andy Strunk. Strunk, who has Down syndrome, has received national attention in recent months for his lifelong friendship with Lawrence, which started when the two attended Kammerer Middle School together. They still communicate regularly and when Lawrence is in town, she usually drops by his Indian Hills home to say hello, often bringing him signed movie posters. Strunk recently told The Courier-Journal that he was “like best friends” with Lawrence and also said “she’s kind... I think she has spirit.” The party, presented by Wal-Mart, is from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Down Syndrome of Louisville Lifelong Learning Center. The evening includes dinner and dancing to the Monarchs. Proceeds benefit Down Syndrome of Louisville.
